Solid fuels
It is in many cases important to both the suppliers and users of fuels to have knowledge about the quality of the fuels. This may for instance be the case in connection with the use of new types of fuels, design of a new installation, establishing the efficiency of the installation or in case operational problems occur.
FORCE Technology is accredited to determine many different parameters, such as for instance the contents of water and ash, calorific value and melting points when testing:
- Solid bio fuels such as straw, wood, corn, nut shells and cherry seed
- Solid mineral fuels such as coal and coke.
Moreover, we carry out tests of other solid fuels such as for instance dried sludge and waste.

Our chemical analysis specialists also test the produced residual products from incineration and gasification. It may both be energy analyses for determination of residual energy and environmental analyses, where different requirements may apply in connection with the reuse or disposal of the products with respect to for example contents of salts and trace metals.

FORCE Technology has developed a method to test and characterise barbeque grill coals and briquettes.
Barbeque grill coals and briquettes are produced in many different places worldwide and their quality may differ considerably. With our methods it is possible to obtain information about the burning time of the products and we are also able to compare different products.
