To make and sell precious metals in Denmark is subject to special legislation.
Cf. Act no. 308 of 17 May 1995:
“Section 1. Produce made of precious metals, i.e. gold, silver, platinum and palladium or alloys of the aforesaid, including also gold plated, silver plated, platinum plated and palladium plated produce shall be commercially produced, sold or offered for sale only in compliance with the provision of this act. The same applies to unmanufactured precious metals”.

The National Agency for Enterprise and Construction has appointed FORCE Technology to perform precious metal assay and inspection.
As a result, the inspectors of Precious Metal Assay and Inspection will make uninvited inspections of importers, producers, wholesalers and retail stores to check that the raw materials and finished jewelleries’ contain the legal amount of precious metal and that the stamp in the jewellery and goods are correct according to Danish legislation.
At the laboratory we carry out the analyses of the articles taken by the inspectors. However, we also assist the industry itself, as they may send us work samples which we will analyse to ensure the precious metal content.
